After 18 years the club 50 team record has been broken by no less than 2 seconds to 5.34.08!

In Sunday’s Hants 50 John Samways clocked 1.48.49 for a new PB to come 6th and 4th vet on standard. In support was Dave Pickering with 1.50.27 for 13th place and 6th on standard; and Cliff Rowe, just outside his PB with 1.54.52 for 40th place and 3rd on standard.

Another PB was recorded by Kevin Ridge with 2.04.29 which gave the club 2nd team place on standard with plus 1.11.37 (Kevin, John and Cliff). The winning team (hosts – Hampshire Road Club) scored 1.12.39. If Dave had been a VTTA member we would have won by about 10 minutes!

The Jubilee has closed the gap on San Raphael in the team points competition with 1490 to 1518. Andover are still 3rd on 1273 followed by Poole with 1162 and catching up are Hants RC on 1038. No other teams are close. Cliff Rowe stays 2nd with 603 and Dave Pickering is 3rd on 565 in the individual competition.

Last Thursday there were 5 Jubilee in the Arrow 10. In hard conditions with a southerly wind first was 15 year old Charley Calvert (BACC) 22.19 which was a PB.

Cliff Rowe 2nd with 23.05, joint 3rd B Watkinson (BACC) and Craig Harris 23.25 and Bob Richardson 5th with 23.37.
