Shock to the system on Sunday’s ride when we were hit by rain – I know, we’re British and used to it, but after weeks of dry weather for rain to arrive earlier than forecast… and boy was it heavy. It was that moment when you realise that you are going to stop to put on a cape only to realise it is too late and you are putting on a cape over the top of an already sodden cyclist. That moment when your feet feel as if each is in its own puddle! So wet (and cold) were we that we even decided to omit the cafe stop before we departed our different ways. At least we each had our own Jubilee 90th anniversary bottle delivered to us. See you next ride.
