A good turn out of Jubilee riders on Sunday 3rd April to take part in the annual Dorset Coast 200km and Coastlet 100km Audaxes.
The 200km takes in some challenging Purbeck, West Dorset and East Devon terrain from Wareham to Axminster and back. Incorporating a ferry boat trip, army ranges, seaside towns, coastal views, hills and even some pavé this early season event is a great training ride. The shorter 100km to Abbotsbury and back is no less challenging.
The weather stayed dry and the forecast heavy showers held off. Unfortunately for some of the later finishers a road closure due to an accident meant an extra 4 mile detour to get back to Wareham. 130+ miles for some riders.
