Louisa Cooper Breaks Club 25M TT Record

Congratulations to BJW Club Secretary Louisa Cooper who continues her magnificent record breaking 2017 form into 2018.

Yesterday (22nd April 2018) Louisa broke the BJW Ladies 25M Club Record with a 00:57:27 at the Ogmore Valley Wheelers Open on the R25/3H in South Wales.

In Louisa’s own words:

“Really pleased to take the 25 club record, I thought this would be the toughest one as Sarah Pascoe’s time of 57.45 set in 1996 was an incredible time and the reason it’s taken 22 years to break. A heavy downpour of rain whilst warming up meant that the roads were wet when I set off, I took it really easy on all the roundabouts not wanting to take any risks and without thinking I’d be on for the club record. I was lucky with the wind conditions but fell apart a bit with 5 miles to go, just the thought of breaking this record got me to the line.”

Good luck to Andy and Louisa Cooper who in just under 2 weeks time who will be taking their tandem to the same course in Wales, hoping for some fast conditions and perhaps another club record?
