Yesterday saw a successful Bournemouth Jubilee Wheelers Purbeck Road Race on the Lulworth circuit. This is the first road race our club has organised and hosted for a long time.
A perfectly planned, organised and executed Race Day resulted in some great racing. For a full report, results and photos see the Local Riders Local Races website.
This event would not have gone ahead without the effort BJW member Tom Stocker has put in over the last 12 Months. The amount of work put in (for example notifying authorities, booking facilities, organising volunteers and marshalls, liaising with holders of other local events etc etc etc) should never be underestimated and without Tom this race would NOT have gone ahead.

Thank you also to the Riders, Marshalls and other Volunteers, and supporters for ensuring the success of the event. From all feedback everyone enjoyed it!
It looks like the stress of the event hasn’t deterred Tom – “It was worth the stress, we are meeting this Saturday to discuss next year’s event”. Watch this space for a bigger and better race next year!
