On an indifferent day John Samways led the Jubilee to second team in the Poole Wheelers Gary Dighton Memorial 10 taking 6th place with 20.55. Dave Pickering was 12th with 21.17, a little slower than last week. 16th was Cliff Rowe 21.37 for a total of 63.49. In his junior days John rode for England at MTB and in 1995 recorded a PB with 20.45.
Other local team times were Poole 64.01, Weymouth 64.49 and Arrow 65.56.
Today’s result means the Jubilee has moved into second team place in the South DC competition on 1205 points with Andover now 3rd with 1133 and Poole 4th with 1026. (Rowe 524, Pickering 441 and Samways 240). Monday’s 25 should see Rowe and Pickering draw further away from Andover and Poole should also move about 50 closer to Andover.
