The event was cancelled as traffic was too heavy due to roadworks and three way traffic lights at the Green.
An alternative measuring about 9.5 miles was planned but by 7 pm the traffic back-up from the lights was still too dangerous.
25 had signed on with more still arriving – money was returned to those who requested it. Any surplus will go to club funds as Donations. By 7.15 pm the roads were almost clear! By 7.25 they were clear.
Several members then went on a club run.
